"Safety and Mobility for All" - Is Transportation Gender-Neutral?
Join WTS-DC on Women's Equality Day (August 26) for a panel discussion on transportation issues faced by women. The esteemed panelists - representing various government and non-government organizations seeking to address these issues - will discuss the role that gender plays in transportation cost and safety, and therefore mobility and access to opportunities for women and gender minorities. The panelists will also provide insight on the ongoing efforts, as well as the remaining necessary actions to overcome gender-related barriers for using public transportation systems. Light refreshments will be provided.
