Integriti Reeves

Concerts & Music$15 adv, $20 doorshows @ 8pm & 10pm Integriti Reeves is a dynamic vocal powerhouse whose "Modern Vintage" style exists at the crossroads of jazz music, embodying the past, present, and future of the genre. Her voice elicits comparisons to the dulcet purity of Ella Fitzgerald and the smoky effortlessness of Nat King Cole. Her experimental outlook is inspired by contemporary artists such as Feist and The Bird And The Bee, whilst her signature retro look pays homage to icons of the 1950s. Integriti has performed with many renowned contemporary jazz and pop artists including Herbie Hancock, Ernie Andrews, Geri Allan, Eperanza Spaulding, Stevie Wonder, Terri Lyne Carrington, Liz Wright and Patrice Rushen. Her musical experience is also grounded in academic excellence. She is a proud local product, a graduate of DC's storied Duke Ellington School of the Arts and Baltimore's venerable Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University. After receiving the Max Corzilius Scholarship, she studied under the tutelage of renowned vocalist Jay Clayton at the Peabody, and took private lessons from Howard University Jazz Professor Connaitre Miller. It was during her years at the Ellington School that Integriti explored her vocal talents and discovered her gifts of diction, tone, and improvisation, talents she further developed during her conservatory studies. Integriti has performed at venues including the newly restored Howard Theatre, The Hamilton, Kennedy Center, and Strathmore. Festival performances include the Mid Atlantic Jazz Festival, the DC Jazz Festival, the Blue Note Jazz Festival and Celebrate Brooklyn!. However, Integriti is perhaps best known for her performances with Afro Blue, Howard University's award-winning vocal ensemble, on the third season of NBC's The Sing Off competition.
