Evening Watercolor Made Easy and Fun (five classes)
Watercolor Made Easy and Fun Gain watercolor skills while having fun creating landscape, city-scapes and still life. Instructor provides weekly step-by-step exercises and photographs, or you can work with your own subjects. Class exercises will be tailored to experience levels from beginner to intermediate. Small classes ensure one-on-one instructor assistance in expanding your watercolor skills. A list of suggested watercolor materials will be sent out to each student in advance. Class dates/times: Tuesday, April 16, 23, 30, May 7 and 14, from 6-8pm Goals include:Week one: Discussion of material and sources; review of your interests; completion of landscape exercise using mixing and layering techniques.Week two: Practice a variety of washes and edge techniques using a step-by-step landscape example. Week three: Use color and harmony to achieve impact and chosen mood within optional class exercise.Week four: Plan for light and value contrast for strong focal points. Week five: Explore additional techniques, e.g., tissue, gum, granulation, mixing alternatives, mixed media, etc., while creating a painting.
